UNRSL Earthquake Catalog Search

Use the form below to select earthquake catalog info from one of several catalogs. Your selection will be limited automatically to the first 1,000 events output, a limit you can change below.

Note: This is an HTML form. You must have a browser that supports forms in order to use it. If you do not see text editing areas below, your browser does not support forms.

Netscape Communications Corp., among others, can supply forms-capable browsers for Mac, Windows, and UNIX platforms.

Input dataset:

You can choose to view search results as a plain text list directly from the catalog, or you can request a map plotted in GIF, Adobe Acrobat PDF, or PostScript format.
Depending on your browser's configuration, the GIF or PostScript plot may appear as code text in your display. In that case, simply choose ``Save As'' from your browser's ``File'' menu and save as ``Source'' (not ``Text''), to save the plot as a file on your hard disk. To view a saved GIF file, use the ``Open File'' dialog under your browser's ``File'' menu.
You can send the PostScript file to any PostScript printer (use a utility such as a direct spooler or font downloader to do this), or render it on screen using a PostScript display program such as GhostScript or Adobe Acrobat Distiller and Reader. Unfortunately, this PostScript file is not EPS and will not directly import to popular page-layout or graphics applications.
Warning: the PostScript plots are often a quarter megabyte or larger in size.
