Ruhl, ChristineStatus: Graduate StudentChristine J. Ruhl Status: PhD Graduate Student Biography: I have lived in 6 states, including Nevada, but grew up mostly in Florida and Massachusetts. I earned my B.S. in Geology at Radford University in southwest Virginia in 2008. I went directly into the graduate program at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, NM, earning my M.S. in Geophysics (Solid Earth) in 2010. I worked as a homeschool assistant, summer camp special events coordinator, and geology visiting lecturer at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA until starting the Ph.D. program at UNR in July 2012. I love teaching and working with undergraduate-level students and intend to stay in academia after completing my Ph.D. My research is on earthquake seismology and tectonics of the Walker Lane of western NV and eastern CA.
