A Geophysical Transect Research Officer is needed to take responsibility for the AuScope funded reflection profiles and associated array deployments, and provide liaison with major programs funded through Geoscience Australia and State Surveys. The Research Officer will be expected to be involved with all aspects of the projects from planning, through execution to interpretation. The role offers the possibility of playing an important role in shaping understanding of the structure of the Australian Continent. The position will be based at the Research School of Earth Sciences at The Australian National University, but is likely to require field work in different parts of Australia and interactions with many different classes of stake-holder.
