CIVIL ENGINEERING FACULTY POSITION Auburn University X-Lines: 47 Status: RO Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset="us-ascii" Content-Length: 1870 The Department of Civil Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of highway infrastructure construction. This is a new position identified in the University's Peaks of Excellence Program. One emphasis area is the Transportation Peak which will focus College of Engineering expertise toward the development of a research program on the commercial vehicle highway system. Candidates are sought that have a strong background in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Materials, Pavement Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in civil engineering and will be expected to develop and sustain a viable externally funded research program. Opportunities for research are available through the National Center for Asphalt Technology and the Auburn University Highway Research Center. The successful candidate will also assist in undergraduate teaching and in developing and sustaining a graduate program. The candidate chosen for the position will be expected to interact well with practicing engineers, academics, contractors and students.
