development, commercial site development, and federal, state & local governments, and have recently expanded into North Carolina. 
 
Geotechnical Engineer - Charlotte, NC
We seek an experienced Geotechnical Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina. The qualified candidate must have 5+ years of geotechnical project management experience. The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter who is eager to improve 
his or her own geotechnical capabilities by being technically challenged in a fast-paced team environment. 
  
REQUIREMENTS 
B.S. in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering and PE required 
M.S. in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering would be beneficial 
Applicants must have extensive experience in deep foundation analysis and design, a sound understanding of soil mechanics, laboratory testing methods, and considerable construction materials testing experience. 
 
Primary responsibilities will include: 
Working with project managers to plan and lead subsurface investigations 
Perform geotechnical analyses 
Construction materials testing and develop geotechnical reports 
Other duties include: utilization of staff, scheduling, budgeting, proposals, and quality control. Geotechnical experience performing slope stability, settlement, retaining structures, foundations walls, and embankment dams would be beneficial, but 
not required. Good writing, communication, and computer skills are a must. The successful candidate will also be required to help mentor and develop younger staff members in both the field and office.
