GEOL 706 - Fall 2008
LAB 9 - t-domain Downward Continuation

DUE Tues. 13 May 2008

The exercises in light gray color are extra credit and are not required.

1. Run the t-domain diffraction using the Java program ``tdif.java''. Move the point scatterers away from the side boundary, and turn in the last frame of the movie by dragging the Plane Index slider all the way to the right, and then capturing and printing your screen. What happens?

2. Claerbout, p. 139, exercise 1. Reverse ``tdif.java'' to make it into a migration. Turn in the last frame of the movie.

3. Claerbout, p. 139, exercise 3. Express the tridiagonal equations in as simple a form as seems reasonable.
