M 4.7 Earthquake, December 22, 1995, 1 AM PST

The large red circle is the epicenter of the M 6.1 September 1994 Double Spring Flat earthquake and the large white circle is the location of the M 4.7 December 22, 1995, earthquake. The small white circles are locations of aftershocks of the September 1994 event. The California-Nevada is shown in red and the blue area in the north-central portion of the image is the Carson Valley. The Genoa Fault zone borders the range front on the west side of the image. Grid spacing is at 10 km intervals (UTM projection and coordinates). The local elevation is scaled from red to blue (high to low).
