Hi John,

A couple of thoughts on the master plan.  Although I haven't looked at 
it in a long time, I seem to remember that there were some glaring 
deficiencies.  It had very little on the importance of graduate 
education or research.  Also, their was little mention of the need for 
math and science training in the core curriculum.  There was some waffly 
prose about the environment if I remember, but few substantive 
suggestions.  Is this still in favor, or have the elections changed 
that?
