This is a 150 frame (25 minute) animation of a tsunami in Lake Tahoe generated by a M 7 normal faulting earthquake along the North Tahoe-Incline Village fault (Scenario #1). The red colors are positive wave amplitudes and the blue colors are negative wave amplitudes in centimeters above lake level (6229ft).

The computation is done on a 750x750 bathymetry grid with 62 meter increments. The time increment is 0.2 seconds but the output is desampled to 10 seconds per frame in this animation.
