An earthquake of magnitude M 4.2 occurred at 05:34 AM (PDT) on Monday, 31 July
1995 on the Nevada Test Site. There are no felt reports or damage reports at
this time. The hypocenter coordinates are 37.095 N, 116.412 W at a depth of 15
km (9 mi). This location is approximately 30 km (19mi) ENE of Beatty, Nevada,
just inside the Nevada Test Site. Several small aftershocks have been observed.
