An earthquake of magnitude M 3.5 occurred at 2:15 PM (PDT) on Thursday, 7
September, 1995, in Rock Valley, very near the border of the Nevada Test Site.
This earthquake was felt in the Field Operations Center for the Yucca Mountain
Project, at a distance of 10 km (6 mi). The hypocenter coordinates are
36.664 N, 116.211 W at a depth of 0.6 km (0.4 mi).

An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred at 7:47 AM PDT
Friday, September 22, in western Nevada. This event was located at
39.722N, 118.580W (13 mi north of Hawthorne) at a depth of
approximately 7 km (4 mi). This earthquake was felt in the
Hawthorne-Schurz-Yerington area and as far away as Carson City.
