The following is a brief overview of my professional career.
Like many other of my economic background, I earned money doing construction work. In fact, if you name an aspect of construction, I have probably done it at one time or another. Right out of High School I had my own roofing company with one employee (me). Roofing taught my one thing, (especially when it is 115) a college education is a good thing.
Because of my love for caves, I spent time over several summers being a tour guide at Shasta Caverns. Here's a little reminder, if your tour guide is enjoyable give him or her a tip.
As far as professional work goes, I have worked on numerous research projects with professors
at the universities that I attended. I have worked as a teaching assistant teaching labs and really
enjoy watching young minds full of mush have the ah ha experience. In fact, I would like to get
into teaching when I finish. I spent time doing some research for EXXON at the Exxon
Production Research facility in Houston, Texas. Before you get all environmentally upset, the
Exxon Valdez incident was not really Exxon's fault. Through some wonderfully thought out
government law, they were forced to employ the recovering alcoholic (a disability) captain that
got drunk on duty and wasn't at his post when the tanker crashed.
