Subject: Archive website for shear-velocity measurements

With Karalyn's help, I've started an archive web site for shallow shear 
velocity measurements. Thanks are due as well to Don Pei, Jim Scott, 
Aasha Pancha, Matt Clark, intern Alex Messinger, and many others.

The archive will contain public-domain measurements that our group had a 
part in producing. So the Reno and Las Vegas transect data are there 
(Los Angeles coming soon), as are other sites we helped measure.

Barbara Luke's site http://www.ce.unlv.edu/egl/lv_archives/ continues to 
be the authoritative archive for Las Vegas Valley. Complete results are 
there; only some of the files are reproduced on our site.

All of the individual velocity profiles are in a simple and easy-to-read 
format developed by Barbara Luke.

There is also a code http://www.seismo.unr.edu/vs/archive/getv30.c
for quickly generating depth-averaged velocities such as Vs30 from files 
in the archive format.
