I was raised in Winnipeg, Canada. I worked as a carpenter and cabinet builder for ten years before returning to school in 2008. I transferred to University of Nevada, Reno from College of Marin in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Geological Engineering in May 2013. During my time as an undergraduate, I worked for the Seismo Lab, including a summer collecting ReMi data around Lake Tahoe and Lake Pyramid. I continued on at UNR in August, 2013 as a Graduate Research Assistant in Geophysics. My research is focused on strong-motion seismology and a normal-faulting aftershock sequence of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake in Japan. My non-academic interests include dirt biking, rock climbing, hiking, travel, and photography.
