Brailo, CourtneyStatus: Graduate Student
I was born in Santa Cruz, CA, but grew up in Port Townsend, WA of the Pacific Northwest. After high school I spent ~5 years in the Tahoe area, mainly working as supervisor at Northstar@ Tahoe ski resort, before returning to Santa Cruz to attend Cabillo Community College where I earned my Associate of Arts degree. I then migrated to Flagstaff, AZ where I completed my undergraduate education at Northern Arizona University with a major in Geology:GeoPhysics, with thesis work in volcanology. After a year hiatus from academics in which I got married in Big Sur and worked as a mudlogger in New Mexico and Texas, I moved to Reno, NV in June of 2014 to obtain my masterís degree in geology at UNR, and currently am working for the Nevada Seismology Laboratory where we are using newly acquired LiDAR of Washoe County in hopes to improve fault maps of the region.
