Graduate Students
Srikar, GauravStatus: Graduate StudentI’m a Masters’ student in Computer Science and Engineering at University of Nevada, Reno. I’m working as a Graduate Research Assistant under Prof. Daniel Trugman in Nevada Seismology Lab (NSL). My key focus is in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence. My research in NSL is, using deep learning, predict the first motion polarity of a seismic activity indeed to visualize the focal mechanism. Our contributions in this research is to design and train an optimal model. Using the model, predict a large set of waveform’s polarity probabilities considering the fuzzy nature of the waveforms like, for example, inclusion of unknown classification and influence of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
