Reno Area Seismicity 1980-1994

Color shaded relief image the Reno-Carson City-Lake Tahoe region
of the eastern Sierra Nevada. Circles are the locations of
earthquakes from 1980-1994.  The earthquake locations were determined 
and provided by Diane dePolo of the University of Nevada Seismological 
Laboratory. The largest symbol represents an event of M 4 
(see M 4 event in the north Reno area) and the symbol size is 
proportional the the earthquake magnitude.  The smallest events are 
M 1.0 and below. The image is in a UTM projection with coordinate
grid spacing at 10 km intervals.
