Alternative, less obtrusive way of bracing bookshelves. The brace is on the top shelf, so the upper side is going into the top frame of the shelf. The screws going into the wall are long and go into a stud in the wall. A brace like this anchored into sheetrock would not be adequate for strong shaking.
