The US Geological Survey site has links to several high quality sites giving earthquake preparedness tips. It also is the place to obtain more hazard maps for the United States.
The Nevada Seismological Laboratory site has descriptions of Nevada’s hazard, and some preparedness tips. The powerpoint slides used in this talk, with annotations, are also available there.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency web site offers numerous publications, several of which can be downloaded in PDF format (designated with a *). Click on the “Mitigation” or “Preparedness” links, and scroll down to the section on earthquakes. The section on “Project Impact” also has some good case studies.
